Microsoft boosts availability of its AI-powered cybersecurity helper

March 13 (mod1s) - Microsoft (MSFT.O), opens new tab will increase the availability of its artificial intelligence-powered tool for cybersecurity experts from April 1 and implement a 'pay-as-you-go' policy for the assistant, the firm said on Wednesday.
Soft-launched last year, 'Security Copilot' allows analysts perform queries via a basic prompt box to aid with activities like summarizing occurrences, identifying vulnerabilities and sharing information with co-workers on a pinboard.

Roughly 300 clients are presently utilizing the program, a Microsoft official said during an event in San Francisco.
The software giant aims to charge users for how much they use the product rather than on a subscription basis, as it "wanted to reduce the barriers of entry," Microsoft Corporate Vice President Vasu Jakkal told reporters.
